1.            LATEST SCARRI  INFORMATION

          Recently, the SCDSB issued a directive on the latest changes to SCARRI (the SCDSB's Call Out System).

2.            ONTARIO COLLEGE OF TEACHERS

               The Ontario College of Teachers fee is due on April 15, 2008.  The fee for this year is one hundred and

                four dollars ($104.00).  You may either pay by cheque or credit card.  To pay by credit card go to their website at

                http://www.oct.ca.

 

3.             HEALTH BENEFITS FOR OTBU MEMBERS

                The Ontario Teachers' Insurance Plan (OTIP) has a group health benefit plan for occasional teachers.

4.               OTIP/RAEO INSURANCE PLAN FOR RETIREES - Latest News Release

                   On February 12, 2008, OTIP was pleased to introduce the ARM Prestige Elite Plan.  OTIP feels that this is a

                   groundbreaking health insurance plan for retired members of OSSTF under the age of 65.

                   OTIP states that this new plan provides unlimited prescription drug coverage and significantly increases

                   limits on other extended health care benefits.  The cost of this plan is $62.81 for single coverage; $117.05 for

                   couple coverage; and 134.27 for family coverage.   For more information call Vic Medland at 1(877)260-3892,

5.                OTBU COLLECTIVE BARGAINING FOR 2008

                   The OTBU Executive is working on the OTBU Negotiating Brief.  This will be sent to the Board's Negotiating
